Fire Board Up

After a fire, we board up windows, doors, and roof openings so the structure stays secure while cleanup and repairs get underway. We typically use 5/8-inch plywood or OSB, cut to fit each opening and fastened through the frame. If you need to control access, we can also add hasps and padlocks to doors.

Emergency Board Up

We respond to after-hours calls to secure fire-damaged buildings that are open to weather, vandalism, or trespassers. We cover broken glass and damaged frames first with boards or sheet metal, then close off the remaining openings. Once the building is secure, we can document the work for your insurance adjuster.

Board Up Removal

Once repairs are finished, we take down the boards, pull the fasteners from the frame, and haul the material away.

Commercial Fire Board Up

After a fire, we board up storefront glass, loading dock doors, and other large commercial openings. We use heavier plywood or steel-backed panels sized to each opening.

How Much Does Fire Board Up Cost?

Fire board up typically ranges from $480 to $2,650, depending on how many windows, doors, and roof openings need covering. Cutting plywood or OSB to fit odd-sized openings, and adding hasps and padlocks to control access, will both push the total higher.
